Famed jazz-rock outfit Steely Dan announced the band’s first shows of 2017 back in January. Donald Fagen and Walter Becker brought the Dan to the Opaline Theatre at The Venetian in Las Vegas for a series of nine shows in April 2017. The residency began April 12 and also included shows on the 14th, 15th, 19th, 21st, 22nd, 26th, 28th and 29th. Donald and Walter were again supported by Jon Herington (guitar), Keith Carlock (drums), Freddie Washington (bass), Jim Beard (keyboards), Roger Rosenberg, Walt Weiskopf, Michael Leonhart, Jim Pugh (horns) and Carolyn Leonhart, Cindy Mizelle and La Tanya Hall (backing vocals).
